Training on all pitches is cancelled until further notice.
NO Training on pitches is permitted this weekend 18/19 Feb
The Committee has decided that due to the over use of our
pitches  it is in our the best interest to try to minimise the damage
being caused to the playing surfaces.  The situation will be reviewed
on an on going basis  Training on training areas in mungret  at the
side of the Main pitch and  at the back of the goals in cement can
go ahead as normal

Mungret Regional League Action Saturday 18th Feb 2012

 
Our uneven numbered age groups took to the field this weekend

U15 Premier match at home to Aishling Anna was called off due to the pitch being
unplayable  
.
U13 Premier match away to Caherdavin Celtic ended in a 3-0 win to Mungret.
  
U13 B Div Two match away to Shannon town was called off due to unplayable pitch 

U13 C Div Three entertained League Leaders Lisnagry . Our Lads Battled
hardng going down 3-0

U11 Premier match away to Geraldines was canceled on Friday night,  
ason given pitch deemed unplayable.

U11 B Div One travelled to Newport and came out the wrong side of a 8-0 defeat
keep the heads up lads

Mungret Regional U13 Advanced to the next round of the Troy cup

Mungret Regional advanced to the last 16 of the Troy Cup with a One Nil win over Tuam Celtic at  Mungret today. The game was played infront of a large crowd. Mungret had several chances in the first half of this game and failed to breakdown a strong Tuam defence. In the second half Mungret laid seige to the Tuam goal missing what seened to be chance after chance. The game appeared to be Mungret applying pressure and Tuam hitting Mungret on the break. Mungret finally made the break through 5 minutes from time with a goal from Paul O'Brien. In what must be said was a long time coming. The goal was no sooner scored when Tuam broke down field field to narrowly miss an equalizer. Mungret then closed the match out in the last few minutes to run out winner progressing to the last 16. well done lads a well deserved win.   Mungret now travel to Carrigaline Celtic for the last 16 clash

Mungret U 14 Advance in Goodson Cup:

Mungret Regional Under 14 team advanced to the the last 16 of the Goodson Cup with a 
3-2 over Croom Utd in Croom earlier today, Saturday 04th Feb. The
Mungret goals were scored by Clyde O'Connell 2 and Sam Warde 1
We will try to get a Match report in the next day or two. Mungret now meet
Carrigaline Utd in the last 16. Well done to all our Players 
and Managers.

All results are to be notified to the following email address, maryfitz62@gmail.com or texted to
087-1332448 immediately after your game.Please include scorers names. These results
will then be forwarded to league secretary.

Important Safety Notice:

In the Interest of safety the Club Committee wishes to remind all managers of their duty to ensure
that all goals are properly pegged down before use in matches and training. Pegs can be obtained
in the Clubhouse.If pegs are not available then the goals are not to be used under any circumstances.
Committee members will be carrying out checks over the course of the season to ensure this club
instruction is observed. Managers are also asked to ensure that all goals after matches and
training are placed on their sides and not left in the upright position, unpegged. All coaches
